Family Yellowstone Trip

The day after the 4th, my family wanted to go to
Yellowstone. Of course, I wasn't going to pass that oppurtunity up. We got a late start in the morning, and it was only supposed to a short day trip so that most of the party could return to Utah that same night. But as they realized once we got up there, you can just zoom into the park, see things, and then zoom back out. In order to truly appreciate what is there, you have to take time to do so. By the late afternoon, those traveling to Utah decided that they would stay the night in Rexburg, and then travel to Utah first thing in the morning. So we went to a place in West Yellowstone to eat before we headed home. It was a great trip. We saw Mammoth first and then traveled to Old Faithful. We saw lots and lots of elk, lots of buffalo, and even some babies, and a coyote on the way out of the park. We didn't see any bears or wolves, things that you wish you could see once in a while. I had a really fun time, and even got to tease my neices and nephews about their boyfriends and girlfriends back at home. They Payne's were thinking ahead and brough walky-talkies so that all three vehicles could communicate with eachother on the road. Instead of "communicating" the talkies were used as a "guess this tune" game that went on for hours. I wasn't that excited to play after the 25 song. Ellen and Sarah loved playing however....

And yes, they are looking at elk poo!
