Other Random Adventures

Here are some pictures of other random
adventures that some friends and I have done this summer. None of them were a big enough deal to get their own post, so I will put them all together.
The first is of Cody and I 4-wheeling north-west of Driggs. These pictures were taken July 24th, Pioneer day. Neither of us had been up in those parts before, so we decided to do some exploring. We actually started out looking for an old railroad bridge someone had told Cody about. We found where it was, but the trail was closed to any kind of vehicle, and we didn't want to walk to the bridge. So instead we kept going on the road we were on and just started wondering. The small bike you see is called a "pit" bike. Its like a
110 cc motor.
The next set of pictures is of Cody, Brent and I mountain biking above Kelly Canyon. The pictures were taken on August 20th. I know a sweet trail that is basically all down hill. We park a 4-wheeler at the bottom of the hill to drive us back up to the truck instead of having to ride back up on our bikes. I lead the way down the mountain, and I was able to chase some cows. That was fun. The trail is really getting hit hard now that 4-wheelers are on it all the time. It makes for a not-so-smooth ride. Before my mission, the trail was really smooth and really awesome for bikes.
The fishing pictures I took yesterday, August 22nd on the Teton River straight west of Driggs. The fish were hot and hitting like crazy. I didn't have the right fly on, so I had to work hard to make my flies look appetizing. I am going back soon, and packing the heat so I can get some good fish. I caught a 10-11 inch brooke trout, which really surprised me. I caught another brookie, but it was smaller. In talking with others on the river, just up from where I was fishing, there are some 16-inch trout hanging around. I will find them.
