Hit it while it's hot!

This past saturday (two days ago) a friend of
mine, Mike Christensen, and I went up to the Teton River by Driggs and did some fishing. The trout were so active, and we had so much fun, we went back today. We hadn't planned on it, but Mike called me this morning at about 9 a.m. and asked if I wanted to go back up today. I didn't want to go in the evening, so I said lets go right now. So we packed up our gear and left a half-hour later. All day yesterday it rained, and the clouds were still rolling out until about noon today. On our way to the river, we stopped at the local fly shop and got some of their flies so we could hit the hatch. We were on the river for about 4 hours today, and the clouds were gone by the time we were off the river. The hatches came and went as the clouds got under the sun. The fish were no where near as active today, but I caught more fish today than I did on saturday. I caught two brookies, a cutthroat, and a rainbow, on three different flies, and all in the middle of the river. Mike caught three cutt's, the biggest being about a 20-incher he said. He gave up on trying to guess the hatch and switched to grasshoppers, where he caught all three of his fish. It was a really good day, and I enjoyed it a lot. I have a sweet tan line across my face from my sunglasses. I should take a picture of it as I have gotten a lot of comments about it tonight. I am trying to get out as much as I can right now, for I know that when school starts again, I am going to be so busy I won't be able to get out unless it is a friday night. I LOVE eastern Idaho. I truly feel so blessed to be able to leave my home and go see God's creations right outside my door. I am also blessed with a dad and a brother that also love fly fishing, that way I am spoiled with a lot of nice equipment...
The top picture is of a critter that was swimming around me through the water from tree to tree. I also saw a critter leaping through the grass later on in the day. I do not know what either of them are or were. (You can click on the pictures to enlarge them)
