Engaged to be Married!

Thats right! If you hadn't heard, Kalee and I got engaged on July 16, which happens to be Kalee's birthday. I thought it would be a good birthday present. We started out the day by going to the new Harry Potter movie with a few of my friends and their wives. Then Kalee and I traveled to Island Park where we went to dinner at Boondocks, which is a favorite for the both of us. It is located near Shotgun, and not far from where she used to live. Afterwards we went to Big Springs to feed the fish (which I was doing just to kill some time). We then hiked to an old abandoned fire lookout tower which is just shy of a mile from the Big Springs campground. We did it record time too! (the misquitoes were terrible!). We were there in plenty of time to take in the view, and also watch the sun go down.

When the time was right, I pointed out in the forest and said "hey is that a deer?" As Kalee was trying to spot the deer, I got behind her, pulled the ring out, and got down on one knee.

I got the whole thing on video. Kalee never suspected it, nor did she know I had been ring shopping. I did a pretty good job at suprisiing her. After we put the ring on, and Kalee's tears dried up, we roasted some Starburst that I brought up with some candles.

September 2nd we will be married in the Logan LDS temple.
