Job update

Well, as my fortune cookie said today, "as one door closes another one opens."
I found out last week that I didn't get the Professional Internship at Disney World that I was hoping to get.
I also decided that I wouldn't accept the position that I was offered at Disney World in working at their attractions. The pay was extremely lower than what I would like to get for having a college degree. I also didn't think that the position would give me instance experience that would allow me to progress in my profession. I am sure that taking the position would have given me a foot in the door for future opportunities, but I am looking to get a good jump start of my professional life.
I also found out last friday that I didn't get an internship with Southwest Airlines, a company that I would LOVE, or as Southwest would put it, LUV, to work for. However, I forgot I had applied for multiple internships with Southwest. I got an email on Monday evening asking my schedule so that I could to a phone interview with a recruiter from Southwest. Early Tuesday morning I did that phone interview. It went pretty well I thought. It was only a preliminary interview, to see if they wanted to have me come in for a face-to-face interview.
I will find out on Monday morning at the latest if they want me to come in. If they do, I will fly out of Salt Lake on thursday night, stay in a hotel and have an interview Friday morning.
The internship is in the University for People department, which is widely known throughout the world for the remarkable job Southwest does in training their employees. Southwest takes care of their employees, and the University for People is one of the reasons they love it so much.
Recently in my Human Resource class, Southwest has come up multiple times in case studies about how their employees love to work there and have high amounts of loyalty towards their employer.
Lets just say that if I get the opportunity to interview, I will be STOKED!
I will keep you updated as to what happens.

The picture posted is a picture from Facebook. It is from EFY last year. The three counselors were the participants counselors the previous year. We took a "reunion" picture, I guess you could say. I just really like the picture.
