Geo Caching + Date = Fun

So after hearing for a couple of years how much fun "Geo Caching" is, I decided to finally try it out. Not only was it fun, but it was a great way to get outside and enjoy the beautiful weather.

Geo Caching is essentially a game of modern-day treasure hunting. It is played with one essential tool, and that is a GPS system. By logging on to Geocaching.com you are able to access hundreds of thousands of caches throughout the world. In searching in the 83440 zip code, 272 caches come up. Because this was the first time that all of us had gone caching, we did mostly easy ones.
On the website, you get the coordinates that you need to plug into your GPS system. When you get to the destination that your GPS directs you to, you must then use the few clues, if any, that are provided so search for some kind of "cache", which is usually a small canister of some sort with some stuff in it. Usually there is a log book inside that you can log when and who was there. We found 4 within about an hour and a half. We made it a contest to see which couple could find the most, and we each found one. We didn't count the first cache because I had gone and done it earlier in the day just to make sure I knew what was going on. We found three caches on campus, and one a couple of miles outside of town on an old home site.

I would definitely go caching again, and I think it was probably one of the funnest dates that I have been on. The date I was with, along with the group that we went with also made it a very fun evening as well. After all the action, we went to Applebee's and enjoyed some good food!

I took out a girl named Holli Garner. The other couples were Thomas Harding and his fiance named Sydney, and Bealer and his date Star.
